It's easy to find the Joss House. We're located in Old Town Auburn, next to Old Town Pizza and right across the street from The Pour Choice.

 

We are now reopen for tours every Saturday! Drop by and visit us at 200 Sacramento Street.

If you think traveling away from home and hearing from your loved ones that "everything is just fine, except . . . " is unique to you, have a look at these letters we found inside the Joss House.  Not ancient by any standard (these are from the 1960's), they still provide insight into the home lives of Chinese immigrants to Auburn.  Special thanks to Yin-Ping Li and David Lei for their efforts in translating this correspondence.
